Clove Toothache Remedy

1 to 2 drops clove essential oil

Clove oil has a long-standing reputation as a folk remedy; recnt studies show it has analgestic and antibacterial properties, making ir an excellent remedy for temporary relief of toothache pain. Oil of clove contains 60 to 90 percent eugenol, which is an antimicrobial compound and also plays a role in deadening pain. Apply the oil with either a cotton swab or clean finger directly on the affected tooth, taking care to avoid the gums as much as possible.
