Natural DIY Acne Astringent
This astringent is healing and soothing for weeping acne, meaning those nasty breakouts that are open and full of pus. it doubles as an effective healing wash for minor cuts and abrasions and also works well as a hair rinse if your scalp is oily.
2 cups distilled water
1 tablespoon yarrow
1 tablespoon calendula or chamomile flowers
6 drops juniper, rosemary, or peppermint essential oil
In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the herbs, cover, and steep for 30 minutes. Add the essential oil, stir, and strain.
Pour infusion into storage containers and shake well. Refrigerate for up to 1 week, then discard.
Application: Using a cotton cleansing pad, apply approximately 1 teaspoon to the face or more as necessary for treating shoulder, back or chest blemishes. Avoid eye areas
