First Summer Morning

Today is a quiet morning. It's the first summer day with no school, no homework, no schedules and one less child. My son is in Arizona starting his summer vacation and my other is sleeping. What a glorious morning! It's been warm here in Portland the last few days and without an air conditioner (common here) its a bit toasty by the end of the days. Usually I will let a lot of cold air in the house in the morning and then shut it all down to trap in some of that wondrous cooler air. After living in Arizona for over 20+ years, I really love some cooler temps, breezy days and some cloudy days. I am really looking forward to summer this year. I have some plans to see family and spend some time on the beach in a few weeks. Very stoked about that! I hope you all have a wonderful start to your summer too!
