Clean Your Cast Iron Naturally and with out Chemicals For Better Tasting Food!
Cast-Iron Cleaner
1/2 cup (150g) salt
1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil
Cast-iron cookware can last a lifetime if cared for properly. To maintain a nonstick surface on cast-iron pans and to keep them in tip-top shape, always clean them with salt with this simple process:
- Rinse the skillet with hot water and scrape any residue with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula.
- Place the skillet over medium heat for 30 seconds; once dry, remove from the heat.
- Add the salt and vegetable oil and scrub with a thick was of paper towels until clean.
- To finish, rinse again in hot water and dry over medium heat.
