Buckwheat Honey
This honey is very dark purple, almost black in colour. The flavour is equally punchy, and suggests molasses or malt. There is a pronounced aftertaste. Unprocessed buckwheat honey contains significant amounts of pollen. It is generally high in iron and is used therapeutically to treat individuals with anaemia.
