Honeycomb
Honeycomb
This is the bee's own packaging system. If offered for sale it must be fresh from the hive, and may not contain any eggs or larvae. Before the advent of the honey extraction machine, this is how most people enjoyed honey, but today it is quite difficult to obtain. Biting into the comb (which is edible) breaks the bees' on the honeycomb seals and lets the honey flow into your mouth.
