Liquid Honey
Liquid Honey
This is the most popular form of honey, and the most versatile. When honey is extracted from the comb, it naturally retains some particles of wax, along with propolis and pollen grains. There is a ready market for the natural product, especially if the honey is to be used medicinally. However, these substances give the honey a slightly cloudy appearance. To counter this, beekeepers filter honey through fine mesh, which removes the wax and propolis but leaves the protein rich pollen blehind. It sells in health food shops and at farmers' markets.
