Organic Honey

This is subject to strict guidlines. The beehives must be in land that has been certified as organic. Radiating out from the hives, for 6 kilometers/4 miles in any direction, all sources of nectar must be organic crops or untreated wild flowers. The zone may not contain motorways, urban centres, waste dumps or other potential sources of contaminants. Look for a certified product with a label on the jars, stating that the honey comes from approved organic areas.
