Chill Wine Fast

1 bucket ice
water

1/2 cup (150 g) salt

Don't have that bottle of whine wine chilled for your dinner guests? Cool it down quickly with the help of a little salt. Fill a bucket of ice with some water and add salt. Place the wine bottle in the center and your wine will be perfectly chilled in as little as 10 minutes. That's because, just like when you're making homemade ice cream, salt lowers the freezing point of the ice, making the water surrounding the ice even colder than normal.
