Natural Air Fresheners and Deodorizers
Tips and Tricks for Natural Home Cleaners and Air Fresheners:
1. To make a natural home humidifier and room freshener use an enameled cast-iron pot on top of your stove and fill with water. Add lemon, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and apple skins and allow to simmer. Some Natural Food Stores sell spice blends that you can use and simmer also.
2. Need a little room deodorizer that is antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial, try using Eucalyptus oil diluted in water in a thick cleaning spray bottle. Spray into air anytime. Keep away from eyes and children.
3. A great way to freshen up carpet, instead of using fabric sprays that contain chemicals that are toxic, a natural carpet freshener that works great is to sprinkle with baking soda. The natural absorbing powers of baking soda eliminate stale odors.
4. If you want a fresh smelling room, try cutting a lemon in half and placing it cut-side up in a bowl on a window seal.
5. Have a stinky trash can? Try placing an all natural dryer sheet in the bottom of the trash can. After washing the can and drying, the dryer sheet aroma will help to keep your trash can smelling nice.
