Tea-Tree Oil Mouth Rinse
Tea-Tree Oil Mouth Rinse
2 to 3 drops tea-tree essential oil
1 cup (240 ml) water
While the exact cause of most canker sores is unknown, citrus or acidic foods, such as lemons, oranges, pineapples, apples, figs, tomatoes, and strawberries, can send your pain levels skyrocketing, so steer clear of them. In the meantime, try this simple tea-tree mouth rinse. The volatile oils possess antiseptic qualities that may help bring relief. Mix the oil with the water. Use as you would a commercial mouthwash: swish it around in your mouth for about 1 minute, then it out.
