Make Your Own Comfrey Scalp Healing Rinse
Chemical treatments such as perms, bleaching and coloring hair can irritate and inflame the scalp. An herbal scalp rinse made of comfrey, nettle, and rosemary is antiseptic, astringent, and healing.
2 tablespoons dried nettle
2 tablespoons dried rosemary
2 tablespoons dried comfrey leaf
2 cups (500 ml) water
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Bring the herbs and water to a boil in a covered pot. Remove from the heat and allow to steep for one hour. Strain, and add the apple cider vinegar. Apply half a cup (125 ml) or more to your scalp after shampooing and rinsing. Store the remaining herbal rinse in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
