Raspberry Leaf-Ginger Stomach Soother
Raspberry Leaf-Ginger Stomach Soother
2 teaspoons (10 ml) dried raspberry leaf tea
1 teaspoon (5 ml) fresh, grated ginger
1 cup (240 ml) water
1 teaspoon (5 ml) honey, optional
If your stomach is related to diarrhea, it is important to make sure you're getting plenty of fluids. Raspberry leaf tea is an age-old remedy for gastrointestinal problems that cause trouble at the end of the tract. The high tannin content of the leaves helps soothe inflammation, and ginger, another anti-inflammatory, has long been used as a remedy for fighting nausea. Bring the water to a gentle boil. Steep raspberry leaf tea and ginger in the water for 10 minutes. Strain and add honey, if desired, then drink.
